A total of 42 swimmers will race for Team England at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow in July.

The squad bound for action at the Tollcross International Swimming Centre includes 28 swimmers and 14 para swimmers, the Games program including both streams in one event.

Olympic, World, European and Commonwealth breaststroke gold medallist Adam Peaty, fresh from his latest return to top racing at British Trials for the European Championships in Paris in August, is joined at his fourth Commonwealths by members of Britain's victorious 4x200m free Olympic, World and European quartets James Guy and Tom Dean at the helm of England's campaign. Guy is the greatest hauler of relay podium prizes in British swimming history, while Dean claimed Olympic gold in the 200m free at Tokyo 2020ne.

Peaty, who claimed 100m breaststroke gold in 2014 ands 2018, claimed the 50m title in 2022. He has a fourth Commonwealth gold from the 4x100m medley relay in 2014. His latest efforts:

Breaststroke sprint king does the double for one of seven tickets to Paris stamped on day 2 at the Aquatics GB British Championships. The other qualifiers: the man closest to Peaty, Filip Nowacki; Lauren Cox (100 back); Duncan Scott & Ed Mildred (200 ’fly); Max Litchfield & Amalie Smith (400IM)

On the women's side, Freya Colbert heads to her second Commonwealths with a roaring 200m freestyle record in the bag, and will face Olympic and World champion Mollie O'Callaghan on Australia.

Top British home-nation medal hopes include Angharad Evans, who will race for Scotland and at nationals last month pioneered the British sub 1:05 and sub 2:20 over 100 and 200m breaststroke at recent British Championships.
