It was a fine day for rogues seeking every loophole and morsel of intelligence into the workings of the anti-doping system today as WADA blasted USADA over undercover intelligence tactics in the fight against doping only to find itself getting blasted back in the war of words in the China Crisis.

Just days after nine of the 23 Chinese swimmers who tested positive for a banned substance in January 2021, without any consequence, helped their nation double its number of medals in the pool between Tokyo three years ago and Paris 2024, the big chill in anti-doping is back on.

The lack of transparency that has marked the new China Crisis was nowhere to be found today as the two agencies exchanged blows in public.
