World Cup, Round 3 of 3, Day 1 of 3 - Singapore
At the final leg of the 2024 World Cup in Singapore, Kate Douglass crushed her own week-old World record in the 200m breaststroke, Léon Marchand set a Cup record in the 100m medley as the second man ever to race inside 50sec and Qin Haiyang matched the 2009 shiny suits Cup record in the 100m breaststroke. There was also an Asian record from Yu Yiting in the 100m medley won by Douglass, while Duncan Scott, in the 400m freestyle, and Noe Ponti in the 100m medley behind Marchand, established new national marks, Scott's effort taking down James Guy's 10-year-old record, and Ponti clocking his 9th 100IM Swiss standard:
