The 2025 NSW State Open Championships get underway at Sydney Olympic Park on Friday with pioneering quadruple Olympic backstroke champion Kaylee McKeown heading a line-up of 10 Paris 2024 Dolphins and 18 Australian Paralympians.
Carlile and NSW sprint ace Olivia Wunsch will seek to extend a winning streak after a strong start to the season as she takes on other members of the toughest female spring freestyle force in the world.
For McKeown, the meet will mark a return to racing and the Sydney Olympic Park, where she set her 2:03.14 World record over 200m backstroke at the same meet two years ago.
