Florian Wellbrock doesn't want to hear any wobbling on from swimmers whop think they're had a hefty program here at Singapore 2025 Worlds in the pool this week. After all, the German ace will have swum 22.5km of racing when he stops the clock in lane 4 of the 1500m freestyle final in the curtain-closing session of the global showcase tomorrow evening.
A reminder of the magnitude of Wellbrock's first week in Singapore:

And now, he's into the 1500m freestyle final in lane 4, with Tunisia's bolter and 800m champion Ahmed Jaouadi a snap on 14:44s in lane 5, and teenager Kuzey Tuncelli, on 14:45 in lane 3. In 6, also in 14:45 this morning, will be Wellbrock's teammate Sven Schwarz, second to Jaouadi in the 800m.
