On This Day In History - Nall Nails It Twice In One Day, Aged 15 At U.S. Olympic Trials
Timeline - The SOS Daily Trawl of official World long-course records (plus all pre 1954 standards, all pools and metrics) set this day throughout history.
On this day in history, Anita Nall set two World records in the 200m breaststroke at the U.S. Olympic Trials. It was quite a feat for the 15-year-old to rewrite history in both heats and finals:

A few months later, aged 16, Nall hauled gold, silver and bronze medals at the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona, her medley relays victory with USA teammates delivered in World record time. Her story is heading into our SOS Hall of Fame, alongside that of Peter Fick, who sent the last of his three world records over 100 free on this day back in 1934, and many others.
