Since 1990, we've KNOWN - not understood, believed or speculated, but KNOWN - that the German Democratic Republic (GDR/ DDR) operated a systematic doping program throughout the 1970s and 1980s, the fraud an official state secret called Research Plan 14:25 from 1974 until German unification delivered extinction for East Germany.
In this concluding part of our FORUM mini-series “Deep Clean the Olympics” at a time when leaders need to keep the enhanced wolf with a billionaire backer from the door, we look at:
- the IOC's long, call for evidence, and the prevarication, equivocation, tergiversation, deflection, denial and even paltering of successive Olympic presidents and their entourages, including legal advisors, whose old advice and fears are no longer relevant.
